DI Dr. Gendo Werner Ainhirn – Chairman of the Association
Werner began his Zen practice in 1996 at BodhidharmaZendo and was ordained as a Zen monk in 2017 under the name Gendo. He has been on the board since 2019 and was elected chairman of the association in 2021.
He began his professional career as a software developer, dedicating the second half of his active career to sales management in the telecommunications sector; he is now retired.
Dr. Walter Shinro Linemayr – Association Treasurer
Walter has been a member of BodhidharmaZendo since 1989.
He was already active as chairman and treasurer for the association in the 1990s and has been a permanent member of the board since 2008.
As a lawyer, he worked in a law firm for many years and also advised the Zendo on legal matters for a long time.
Mag.a Margit Nοbis
Margit has been a Zen practitioner at BodhidharmaZendo since 2016 and has been on the board since 2021.
She is a visual artist with a focus on media art.
Professionally, she has dealt with art conception, cultural studies and architecture at the Da Ponte Research Center, as a research member at the University of Art and Design Linz and at the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna.
Mag.a Julia Orin Stockinger
Julia began her Zen practice in Hamburg in 2011 and became a member of BodhidharmaZendo in 2016.
In 2018, she began actively participating in the board, to which she was officially admitted in 2019.
As a biologist, she worked at the university and nature conservation authority in Hamburg.
She is currently fully dedicated to the Zen path.
Max Issan Tschlatscher
Max got serious about Zen in 1998, when he completed his first sesshin.
He has been on the board since fall 2023.
He teaches professionally as a music teacher in the Carinthian state music schools.
Ing. Mag. Peter M. Rantaša
After two earlier attempts in the 1980s and 2000s, Peter found his way permanently to the Zen path through intensive inner work in 2019.
He was auditor from 2021 to 2023 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2023.
Professionally, after a career in cultural management at the University of Vienna, the trained philosopher works as Managing Director of an organizational unit for cognitive science and as a freelance life, social and management consultant.
