How can I book the BergZendo?
BergZendo is the meditation center of BodhidharmaZendo Vienna and we mainly use it ourselves for our Zen retreats.
The dates we can offer for guest seminars are usually booked quickly, so it is advisable to enquire very early at info@bergzendo.at.

Which guest seminars are suitable for BergZendo?
Buddhism-related groups, meditation and yoga seminars, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, hiking, archery, …
As a guest, can I book the BergZendo for private celebrations such as weddings, birthdays etc.?
No, unfortunately not. The house can only be booked for group events lasting several days.
Can I spend a few days alone at BergZendo?
As we are heavily booked, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate individuals. The BergZendo is only rented out to groups.
Members of the Association for the Promotion of Zen Buddhism can spend time at the BergZendo on their own during Sangha Time.

Can I arrive a few days earlier or stay longer at BergZendo after the guest seminar?
Unfortunately, this is not possible as we have to prepare the house for the next event immediately after the seminar.
How do I get to BergZendo?
You have three options:
By car to Stollhof, then via the Panoramastraße (former toll road) to BergZendo. You can drive there directly and park your car for free in our parking lot during the guest seminar.
By train to Wiener Neustadt and from there by cab.
The cab with the telephone number 02622/39000 will take you from the train station in Wiener Neustadt to BergZendo for € 50,- per ride.
ATTENTION: The cost of € 50,- must be agreed directly WHEN ORDERING (refer to the Association for the Promotion of Zen Buddhism, contact person: Mrs. or Mr. Yesilyurt).
On foot according to the corresponding hiking maps.
Be careful when approaching in winter, chains may be compulsory due to snow conditions. Find out in good time at naturpark@hohe-wand.gv.at
Can I be picked up from the train station?
Unfortunately we cannot offer this service.
You can use the cab service by calling 02622/39000. It costs € 50,- per trip from the train station in Wiener Neustadt to BergZendo.
ATTENTION: The cost of € 50,- must be agreed directly WHEN ORDERING (please refer to the Verein zur Förderung des Zen-Buddhismus).
Can I bring my children to the seminar?
This is possible in consultation with the respective seminar leader, but the stay will be charged.
Can I bring my dog to the seminar?
This is only possible with the consent of the respective seminar leader and only one dog per group.
As a participant in a guest seminar, can I stay overnight and only take part during the day?
This is possible in individual cases in consultation with the respective seminar leader, but a reduced fee will be charged.
Can I work on the BergZendo?
There are always opportunities to take part in Samu weekends. Sign up for our newsletter if you would like to be informed.

Can I take part in Zen retreats?
This is possible after consultation in advance and suitable conditions.
There are also retreats such as “Zazenkai Light” or “Sesshin Light” for newcomers with a slightly lighter daily schedule than regular retreats. The difference is that the meditation times are shorter and you get up later in the morning. This makes the practice easier. Ideal for beginners, people with health problems, but also for anyone interested who is looking for a milder retreat for other reasons.
